guest of the day award room upgrade decorated bed misleading menu higher cost website information
i received a guest of the day award (i was really surprised). daisy at reception told me about the room upgrade i received. the room had a decorated bed with petals spelling happy birthday and complimentary chocolates. it was a lovely touch.
i booked breakfast based on the menu shown on the website. the menu i received had a fraction of what was shown online. the cost was significantly higher (20% on some options). i felt misled and cheated.

air conditioning soaking tub
The room had air conditioning. This was useful. the bathroom provided a japanese soaking tub, it was a treat!!!
I noticed a bit of noise from a function room. It was noticeable until late.

great location hot food breakfast choice high noise small portions rushed service
the hotel had a great location near the train station. it overlooked Lord Street. the breakfast included a lot of hot food options. there were also pastries and cereals available!
the noise level made conversation difficult with friends. the portions served at the restaurant were small. i had to eat a pizza when i got home, because i was still hungry. also, staff needed the table, so we felt rushed out.
